Better Living for Garrison (BLFG) is pleased to announce that it recently awarded a total of $6150 in financial grants from the Garrison Area Community Foundation endowment to the following recipients:
Little Lunches Backpack Program - $1154
Benedictine Living Community Garrison - $1154
SkyFest Over Fort Stevenson - $1154
North Dakota Firefighters’ Museum - $1924
St. Paul Lutheran Church - $764
The Garrison Area Community Foundation was established by BLFG in 2011 and its endowment fund provides a method of receiving charitable donations and distributing annual grants to benefit projects or nonprofit organizations in the Garrison area. The Foundation has awarded over $50,000 in grants since its inception. The Foundation is affiliated with the North Dakota Community Foundation, which is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation under IRS code 501(c)(3) and North Dakota Law.
BLFG will also be presenting an additional grant in the amount of $4000 to Garrison Parks and Recreation for its outdoor pool renovation project from the Better Living for Garrison endowment fund administered by the St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation of Minot, North Dakota.
It is anticipated the Garrison Area Community Foundation will begin accepting applications for the 2023 grant cycle in September 2023 and this website will provide instructions on how to participate in the application process at that time.
