Better Living for Garrison 2024 Garrison Area Community Foundation Grant Process
The Garrison Area Community Foundation is currently accepting applications for the 2024 grant cycle. Only applications submitted online will be accepted, and technical assistance will be available for anyone who needs it. Applicants must be designated by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or a government agency and serve residents in the Garrison area. Groups without such designation seeking to apply may enlist a fiscal sponsor. The deadline for submitting an application is October 1st, and a total of $6,410 is available for grant awards. The Garrison Area Community Foundation was established in 2011 by Better Living for Garrison (BLFG) as a permanent endowment fund managed by the North Dakota Community Foundation. Earnings from the fund are given as grants every year to organizations that support Garrison and the surrounding area. Past grant awards total over $58,000 and previous grant recipients includes McLean Family Resource Center, Titan’s Baseball, Garrison Golf Course, Garrison-Max Ambulance, Little Lunches Backpack Program, SkyFest over Fort Stevenson, ND Firefighters’ Museum, Garrison Parks & Recreation, West River Transit, Benedictine Living Center, Garrison Community Chest, Garrison Memorial Hospital, GARC, and the local affiliate of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
